Project goal To bring the Plejmo website solution to the apple platforms without bringing along any functionality for renting and buying but merely a playback device.
Challenges Create a simple way to watch and download rented movies. Display important information for the users including time before expiry and progress of download.
The fact that you will not be able to rent in the app made me challenge the project since it might not be of enough value.
The research showed that the ability to rent and buy in the application was a core feature all users expect, while streaming the rented movies through airplay or watching on the go was secondary. Although, when doing some further investigation and several stakeholder interviews the goal became to create a playback application as a first step, with the aim to add renting and buying just within a few months.
